Our Yoga

“THE LIGHT THAT YOGA SHEDS ON LIFE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL, YOGA DOES NOT CHANGE THE WAY WE SEE THINGS, IT TRANSFORMS THE PERSON WHO SEES.”

— B. K. S. IYENGAR.

With the combination of beautiful spaces, thriving community and more than a century of teaching experience within our doors, we believe the Fremantle Yoga experience will change your life.

It’s not just that we’re passionate about the benefits yoga offers for everyday life. And it’s not just because our teachers are some of the most experienced teachers in Perth (some having been with our studio since 1983).

You will be transformed by our yoga, because despite our accolades, we’ve never forgotten that the most important person in our class is you.

We focus on the individual needs of our students and meet you where you are today, not where you think you should be.

In this state of presence is where the gifts of yoga are truly found.

Our yoga roots are Hatha/ Iyengar and all of our teachers are trained in therapy yoga and alignment.

As the school has grown, so has our class styles.

We currently offer classes in Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin, Therapy, Senior, and Pregnancy/Women.

With this range of styles, you’ll find the yoga that’s right for you. We run therapy  classes for students who need rehabilitation of injury, surgery or general pain and tightness. No prior yoga experience is necessary as we will guide you through a safe practice with individual adjustments to suit.

Oh, and did we mention we’re leaders in pregnancy, birth & post-natal yoga? Our director Kate Porroto doesn’t like to boast (it comes with being a yogi), but she’s one highly acclaimed wonder woman in the eyes of hundreds of mothers and fathers. Kate’s trained with world leaders in the field of active, natural birth, such as Dr Sarah Buckley, Janet Balaskas, Janet Clarfield and Birth International.

So whatever you’re looking for, we have a yoga class and teacher that is just right.
